- Check that the Auto Focus Pin is not stuck in the ‘up’ position
- Check the Auto Focus wire is not damaged
- Check the Auto Focus probe is moving ok
- Check that the top switch is not damaged
- Check that the honeycomb table is not warped
- Retune Auto Focus
- Check that the Emergency stop button is not down
- Check power cord
- Check that the head/gantry move freely
- Check that the X/Y axis sensors are in place
- Make sure your firmware is up to date
- Check that the correct port been used
- Try using a different USB lead
- Make sure your driver and firmware are up to date
- Check GCC or Common Mode are correct for Operating System
- Check that the door is closed and nothing is blocking the magnets
- Check that the sensors are clean and not damaged
- Check that the BOFA unit is on
- Check the lead for the BOFA is secure
- Run short pins to test lead
- Check BOFA filters
- Check the water filter is turned on (X-Series)
- Check the mirrors are correct and tight
- Check the material is flat
- Check that the honeycomb is flat with manual probe
- Check the fuse in the plug (13amp fuse)
- Check the machines fuses (3 or 15 amp)
- Check that the socket is live
- Check that the on/off switch on the machine is not arcing
- Check the auto focus probe is moving freely
- Check for any obvious breaks in auto focus wire
- Check alignment is correct
- Check the red pointer – may be faulty
- Check that the optics are clean
- Make sure the PPI is set to X value
- Check optics are secured correctly in the housings
- Check the auto focus tuning and distance
- Manually focus the probe
- If possible, adjust tickle pulse
- Check head carriage wheels
- Check X motor
- Check that the wheels are clean
- Check that the focus is correct
- Check if there is play in wheels on head carriage
- Check if there is play on both X and Y-axis
- Check motors move freely
- Check axis sensor
- Check Head Carriage sensor
- Check all Z Axis struts have not dried out
- Clean and grease all struts
- Check that the auto focus pin is not stuck
- Auto focus the wire

- Check all optics are in place and tight
- Make sure optics are clean
- Check that the key switch is on
- Is the laser LED light on the control panel flashing?
- Is the door LED light out on the control panel?
- Check that the BOFA lead/extraction is on
- Check that the laser is not out of focus
- Check that the honeycomb bed is not uneven
- Check temperature of water
- Check water levels – fill if necessary
- Check pipes are not clocked or pinched
- Ensure the Rail is clean
- Ensure the wheels are clean
- Check belt tension
- Check that there is no damage to the pin or the wire
- Check that the laser alignment is not centre of lens
- Check and clean all optics
- Check laser alignment
- Check that the contrast dial hasn’t moved to a different position
- Hold down the ‘Enter’ key whilst turning the machine on which will take you into ‘adjust origin mode’. The reset Origin and Save the position
- Check that the PCB look ok
- Check that extended is ticked in driver
- Check the compressor is running
- Check the air valve is set ok
- Check you are cutting at the right speed
- Check all doors are shut
- Check water chiller is on and topped up
- Check with another socket or lead
- Check on/off switch
- Check filters
- Increase speed of fan
- Clean extraction chamber
- Check cable is secure
- Check the PC settings are correct
- Check that the key switch is on
- Check power supply
