Principles of CO2 Lasers

L-A-S-E-R is a Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation.

A CO2 laser works by exciting the molecules of a carbon dioxide gas mixture. The laser beam is then focused through a lens to engrave. The intensive laser beam then vapourises the surface of the material leaving an engraved, or in some cases, cut image.

Ease Of Use

With its own dedicated print driver, using any of the LaserPro range is really very straight forward. Designs and jobs can all be produced using your favourite software program, then output via the print option. With additional options built into the driver like 16 colour settings each linked to power and speed, DPI, PPI, main power and speed settings, 3D mode, stamp mode, mirror and invert.

The Advantages of Lasers

There are many advantages to using laser for both engraving and cutting. The precision of outputting jobs of up to 1000dpi. The flexibility of lasers being non-contact. The productivity of being able to opt for twin head with beam splitter to double output. No need to compensate for bit diameter etc. when cuting through materials. Because a laser beam is about .0005in in diameter it makes the detail output much finer than that of a conventional mechanical engraver.
